I've had this palm for over 20 years now. It was about 60cms high when I got it. I don't want it to get any bigger because it's hard to move as is! The 2nd photo gives a better sense of how it sits within the dining room. I love the lush feel it gives to the room.
Annuals Cerinthe major 'Purpurascens' and Eschscholzia 'Ivory Castle', in the garden.
The Eschscholzia (Californian Poppy) is more yellow than I was expecting, but it's so pretty, I'm not complaining. The #Bees were all over these plants; such a warm hum when you pass by them.
The Cerinthe make a good cut flower that hang over in a pleasing hook-shaped manner.

Flowering in my garden, Amelanchier x grandiflora 'Ballerina', also known as a Juneberry.

Will it bloody rain, and thereby water my #garlic, and save my weary bones from having to do it myself.
A beautiful patch of winter flowering heathers, that I spied in a nearby front garden.
Me: I'm really going to try and take a step back and carefully rethink how to garden with a chronic illness, when we move to our new place in Wales.
Also me: OMG, hardly any frosts, I can grow apricots!!!
More Hellebore love. This is Helleborus x hybridus 'Double Ellen Red'.
I grow this in a taller pot so that it's easier to see the flowers. Last seasons foliage was cut back so that you can see the emerging flowers more clearly.
One of my favourite Hellebores: Helleborus 'Painted Bunting'.
I have it in a raised bed which makes it easier to see the nodding flowers.
Crocus 'Gipsy Girl' - a very cheery crocus that flowers from Feb, and is great for early pollinators.
The morning sun on this simple combination of Galanthus (probably nivalis), Erica carnea ‘Myretoun Ruby’, and Primula vulgaris, really brings a smile to my face.
Most of the garlic of the 7 of 8 cultivars I grow have sent up the first shoots. As usual, cultivar 'Martin's Heirloom' is behind the rest, usually by 3-4 weeks. Though it's always ready at the same time of the rest when it comes to harvesting in Summer. 🤷♀️

Finally managed to spend a few minutes in the garden (1st time for a couple of months), picking some parsnips. Oh my, how big you are!
