Any advice for shutting your brain off when it won't stop thinking about things you don't have time to do?
@Paul Only thing I've ever found that works is drugs. ADHD meds, or sedatives if it's bedtime.
Sometimes even mild sedatives like chamomile & lemon balm tea are enough to help though.
@Paul Journalling helps me but it... takes a bunch of time.
Keeping a "Someday" list for things I want to do but can't now is helpful.
Writing everything down in a huge list and then picking three things off the list and *not looking at the big list again until I've done them* helps me with overwhelm paralysis for existing commitments.
