Today I made this bike rack, this cous cous salmon arugula salad, and celebrated 33 years without a drink or drug. #diy
I understand #leeds queer bookshop The Bookish Type are having some kind of sale today, so I'm going to check it out

Twitter Thread: Dall-e has a secret language.
If you ask it to draw subtitles, it shows mostly gibberish.
But if you feed that gibberish back into it, then you get a real thing.
Like "Whales talking about food" gives a speech-bubble with "ahakes" in it, and if you ask it to draw that then you get shrimp and fish and stuff.
Fascinating.
Curiosity poll regarding social media approach.
Please boost because we're really curious about the experience-approach for as many users as possible.
We have excluded two options here and will explain why:
Twitter exclusively: probably not gonna see this poll if you don't use Fediverse at all
Spiderman: We assume everyone would add Spiderman to their options because of how polls work.
money (-), help needed
Most of the money of my partner's new job has been going to paying late bills and council tax and stuff so we've been incredibly strained the past few months, it should hopefully level out finally next month.
I've been working as much as my mh lets me, which unfortunately isn't enough. Right now my bank account is nearing zero again and I'm not gonna be able to meet my rent payment tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cultural heritage; monarchy; food mention
Regardless of your feelings on the monarchy, events like jubilees are inevitably important cultural moments that will be of interest to future historians, so I love this idea of capturing some of the edible ephemera being produced by people celebrating Liz's 70th.

(Young) Math students of the world, when you don't have any idea of how to solve a problem, you can try to:
- make a drawing in order to better understand what's happening
- try to solve a simpler instance of the problem in order to see if what you are trying to prove is indeed true, why, and what could possibly be wrong in the complicated case
These are very easy advises that essentially nobody follows 🙄
uspol, wipol, theocracy hell
An anti-abortion org's office in Wisconsin was recently firebombed, damaging it badly.
Just today, a group called Jane's Revenge, a pro-abortion group, has taken credit for it, and issued an ultimatum demanding the dismantling of all anti-abortion establishments, fake clinics/crisis pregnancy centers, and groups within 30 days, else more widespread, more thoroughly damaging attacks will follow.
LB: If you’re used to Twitter, reporting users probably feels like a futile last resort but on fedi, moderation is done by human beings. You don’t need an iron-clad case - reporting rudeness, bad behaviour, or a sketchy vibe can alert mods to potential trouble even if they don’t take immediate action. And remember to check the “forward anonymously to the remote instance” button too
