food & pandemics, near-future science fiction story
Maybe don't read this one if you're prone to having your anxieties amped, but it is remarkably prescient, and I'm surprised I haven't seen more people pointing to it. Posting here b/c it's told through the lens of creative cooking during food supply interruptions: http://clarkesworldmagazine.com/kritzer_11_15/
I did kind of chuckle bitterly when I got to the line about nurses being swaddled in PPE.
All about food, friends, cooking and community.
