Dad called me a couple of days before Father's Day wanting to make sure that I'd have some Portuguese sweet bread ready for him. He's so funny - Father's Day? Bah, whatever. But sweet bread? That's serious business!
I haven't cooked with my starter in about two weeks now and I feel so guilty about it :( I'm going to feed it soon after it warms up from the freezer and pray I can get the timing right for a good loaf of sourdough
Anyway, I made dinner rolls yesterday on a whim and I think they turned out pretty well! It's my great grandma Opal's recipe and a closely guarded family secret. I'm not much of a photographer so forgive the ugly picture
i'm on my second attempt at english muffins. i''m having trouble cooking them without burning them, so hopefully this batch will turn out better! i think i'd been cooking them on too high a heat... gas ovens are tricky! :P
